I had a charter cancel at the last minute, so I decided to have a day to myself to try and get on some fish. Capt Chad Casteen joined along to take the day off... The flounder are starting to show up, and the spanish are everywhere. I went out just offshore of Oak Island and landed 9 Flounder, one monster spanish on a lite line, and a 35 in cobia.
The water was slick calm and the spanish were jumping everywhere until the tide changed. The boats just offshore of me were killing the king mackeral and big cobia. Looks to be a great summer of fishing!
