John Besse and company from Jackson, New Jersey, got in on one the best afternoon Spanish Mackeral bites this summer.
The fish had been pushed off shore for a couple of days due to rough weather; they were hungry and there were thousands of them covering a square mile just off of the beaches of Bald Head Island. We even had a visit from a 12 foot tiger shark that trailed behind the boat for some time.
