Calm 10 knot southwest winds made for an excellent fishing day. We finally found the big menhaden (baits) and even the pelicans were happy about it. They helped themselves to an easy breakfast straight out of our cast net.
Matthew, from Ohio, was vactioning at Bald Head Island and was ready for some King Mackeral action. We headed offshore and had no problem catching our limit of Kings. Kings may be king but when large barracudas and sharks lurk about you never know when your prize catch can become something else's lunch. |
