1/28/10- King Macks

Went on a quest to find some king mackerel- had to run 45 miles up to the northeast- got there and the water was perfect- plenty of false albacore - but the kings were scattered out - ended up with 17 kings- the largest about 22 pounds. Much better than sitting around on land- or standing on hard floors at boat shows!
Had a friend who fished inshore- and he reported no bites. Had to cancel today's inshore trip due to the weather- probably a good thing.
The BIG black sea bass are biting- if you want to go give me a call- limit is 15 per person and they are really good to eat- should be available all winter- if your coming into town and need a place to stay we'll work that into the deal as well.
