John Goins, his dad, his nephew, and friend Robert jumped onboard for a full day inshore and we had one of the best times of the summer. These guys were some of the funiest guys I have ever fished with.
We had a real good catch of trout (some close to 4 pounds)and a couple of flounder. We struck out in search of a redfish so John could get the "slam". I thought that might be the easiest part of the day but as in most cases the easiest usually turns out to be the toughest.
The tide was super high and we found tailing redfish in four different places but could not get one to bite! Oh well- we gave it 120%.
Can't wait to fish with these guys again next year! Next year- Just don't forget the apple pie and I'll bring the zebco's.

this trout was close to 4 pounds
