We were all looking forward to our full day offshore- and once again Capt Bobby Mayfield (who loves bluewater fishing)- took us to the Blackjack hole for some gulfstream action. The weather was perfect and we had a great morning with the dolphin(mahi-mahi). We never found the wahoo we wanted but the big mahi's keep us busy until 10:30 am.
We all decided to go bottom fishing on the way home. I put the anchor over just to get the anchor course and we never moved again- we were not even on the rock but it didn't matter - the vermillion snappers(beeliners), triggerfish, amberjacks, and other bottomfish were hungry!
Everyone caught big AJ's until they gave up! We were done and what a great trip it had been.
REMEMBER- These guys put it all on the line for all of us- make sure you go out of your way to do something nice for them!
