Earlier this spring I met a guy named Will White who lives here and who a mutual friend had been telling me about.  Will's son Chris Neal White (www.chrisnealfarm.com) had lost his life while defending our country in the middle east.  Willie, his family, and friends have started a "Camp Hope" for wounded soldiers to get them into the outdoors to help the soldier's healing process.  They have a farm in Missouri- and every spring they take a group of guys from the hospital turkey hunting(all expenses paid).  Then in the fall they take a group deer hunting.

An unbelievable thing to do in the mist of such a tragedy-
this guy and this organization are unbelievable...

So the plan was for the guys to get dismissed from Ft Bragg- early in the morning and drive down and we would fish in the afternoon.  When they arrived we split up into two boats- a big thanks to Bobby Mayfield and Danny for taking their 24 hydrasport.  We had enough time to get out and catch some nice Spanish Mackerel.  On the way home we stopped by and whacked a few sharks- The picture below is Sgt. Wilson- (forever known as "outboard motor Wilson" - to all of us) with a nice blacktip shark...

We we returned we had a excellent dinner Capt Bobby Mayfield and Stacy Dotson had prepared for us- BBQ and all of the side items!
