The week started off with the king mackerel biting well right off the beach!! By the end of the week the kings and big Spanish had slowed down a bit. Also Capt Chad had plenty of blacktip sharks on a couple of trips he ran all of the way from 18 miles offshore to the beach- the sharks are chompin- and there are some big ones out there.
Spent some of last week helping out Sally Buchanan and IbisFest (ibisfest.org) - we had some great trips and really enjoyed the knowledgeable "birders" we had on board. It was very interesting and I recommend this festival to anyone who enjoys the outdoors.
This week's trips will probably all have to be canceled due the worst weather forecast I can remember winds predicted 30+ for a couple of days... But maybe by the weekend we'll be back at it... The fish are biting and hungry - just need a little break in the wind to get back at it...
