Fishing Report 11/7/08

Spent a nice morning with Mike Wattenbarger and his friend Evan. We chased red fish with top water baits early in the morning and Mike had a real nice fish that jut missed the hooks. The wind was nice and calm early but we could not find any "tailers" in the big water- after 9:00 the wind picked up and we tried some creeks.
Found a creek and saw several red fish - we even managed to get a couple to the boat and missed a couple of more.
Heard of a pretty decent trout bite on Friday as well. One guy had a fish over the five pound mark- most fell for live shrimp and shrimp type lures (halo shrimp and D.O.A.'s) The fishing this weekend was restricted to the sheltered creeks as well due to the hard wind we have had. There were several boats who had good speckled trout catches on Saturday and Sunday.
Hopefully the wind will lay down just a little and we can get out in the ocean and fish the big water inshore!
