Had 2 1/2 day trips.  Capt Dean had a morning trip as well as a later morning trip for me.  Everyone reported a slow bite which does not make sense.  Heard of a few fish caught but overall it was a slow day.

Brandon reported several trout on topwater (spooks and top dogs).  But he said they missed the hooks everytime! 

I had my dad and his friend Les (from Emerald Isle aboard) to chase some reds and flounder.  To say it was slow is an understatment!  Les did get his first red a small one but broke the ice.  Then my dad hit another small redfish.  Les then hooked a real nice 25" fish but the drag was too tight and the fish busted off boatside.  Must have know Les was going to blacken him for dinner.  The flounder bite was not good either.  The fish should have been chewing but for whatever reason they just would not bite. 

Got a couple of trips this week so stay tuned....   The king mackerel
