Colin Merritt and his wife headed out on Sunday for some king mackerel fishing. They were not disappointed!
Capt Chad Casteen has always been a pretty lucky guy- just ask any of his buddies. But he was 15 hours too late on catching what would have been a 44,000.00 fish on Saturday! The beast weighed 42.15 pounds and would have one the US Open hands down... Colin reeled in the big fish and he and his wife put several more in the boat for a great 1/2 day of fishing out of Bald Head Island.
Glad these guys had a great time- the big king macks are here now as well as some giant redfish. Everything can happen within sight of land and a 1/2 trip will get you to some of the biggest fish of the year! Grab a couple of your buddies and let's go fishing!!!
They did have a lucky bird on-board!!!
