Fishing Report 8/11/08

Tom Sibley, his son Lane, and I almost got rained out. I actually called them to tell them it was a "no go" but they were on the way so we waited it out and it turned out to be an great day(after the downpours). We started off with plenty of bluefish and big Spanish macks...Caught them on live bait as well as topwater baits and swim baits. We also hooked what I think was a really nice king mack that spooled my baitcaster(and we never stopped).
After we caught enough Spanish for dinner we hit the bays and did really good on the redfish. Tom and Lane really wanted flounder but the reds were chomping hard! Ended up catching a short flounder and losing 2 nice ones at the boat. Good to see these guys again, always a fun trip...
