Had the pleasure of fishing with Richard Turek for Southport, NC and his son Mike Turek from Phoenix, AZ. Could not ask for better guys to end the year with...
The quest today was reds on the fly however the cloud cover and a pretty good wind kept the fishing from moving up into the shallows. We gave it our best shot and right before dark the wind died down and Mike got a couple of shots at reds. Close enough to get all our hearts pounding!
We ended up with a few specks on live shrimp and the surprise was a nice 17" flounder on a live shrimp.
I hope I can redeem myself and get these guys on the reds this summer!
The last fish rattled us enough to make it a great ending to an excellent 2007 and making us want to come back for more!!!
