Fishing Report 11/21 (PM) Inshore Slam + Big Reds!

Got to fish with Matt Rumfelt this afternoon and we had a great time despite the windy conditions. Matt wanted to fly fish for reds but the wind made it impossible. So we went with the some light tackle and artificials, that proved to be the ticket...
The first flat we hit we spooked two fish but never got a bite. Then hit the next flat and it was on... The first red was a really nice 25" fish. We could see some other fish working but the tide was so low we had to run around and pole in from the other side. Sure enough when we got back there was a big (close to 30") fish waiting there and he pounced on it.
Made another move and caught some smaller reds then slammed another big boy this time on the lightest rod in the boat (6 lb test). Then Matt hooked and landed a really nice flounder on a jerk bait in a foot of water... Go figure- I would have thought they would have been in the deeper water by now...
After that we were on a mission to catch a trout and get the inshore slam. It took about 3 more stops but we finally got a speck to bite a white gulp shrimp. Mission accomplished.
Excellent afternoon!
Matt with a nice red
This guy was lost in the shallows in November!
Nice speck to end the afternoon...
