Had Justin Willard and crew aboard for a 1/2 day. We started off Spanish fishing. Trolled for a while and finally picked one up - Then these guys decided they wanted to catch something big! There were no shrimp boats around so we caught some live bait and went king mcakerel fishing.
The wind was blowing so hard (20-30 mph) it was impossible to even slow troll. We anchored up and balloon fished the rest of the morning. Action was pretty slow (probably the big front that had come through the night before). All was quiet until this guy hit!!! We did the best we could with the weather- it was like a sunny tropical storm- 3-4 foot seas at the reef- THESE GUYS ALL HUNG TOUGH DESPITE THE WEATHER!!!
