Got to fish with Will Whitehead his dad David -and Will's friend - Hayden for the afternoon on Saturday. I'll put Will up against any 12 year old in fishing trivia. He reads every piece of information out there and is VERY Knowledgeable about fishing-
We ended up with 4 nice specks and Will got his first redfish. We never found the big reds but it was a good afternoon. Tried to end the evening with a shark or a tarpon but they must have moved out of the river and into the ocean. Did have one shark bite and a possible tarpon bite-

Fished Yaupon reef for a little while and ended up with 5 monster Spanish (2 citation size -6lbs and all were over 3 pounds) and 3 king mackerel (the largest about 18 pounds). Bait is everywhere and the fall run has started ---should only get better from here.

Fished with Rich and his brother Charlie for a few hours- I tried to put them on some redfish(these guys love bass fishing and wanted them to feel the saltwater version). The reds did not want to play today. Did get a shot a 4 fish in the shallows but they were not interested. Ended up with a couple of specks (one lost due to me not netting him!) and Rich had a flounder up to the boat and he pulled off at the last second. He also caught a small redfish before the storms ran us home.
