The follow day Greg Petrie and I headed out to try the amberjacks on the fly rod.  To say it was not happening is an understatement.  Not only was it rough there were no fish.  Tried about 6 different spots- and nothing happened.  We headed in and found a couple of nice schools of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish mixed together.  Greg put the hammer down on the blues and Spanish until we had to leave. 

Looking back I wish we would have just stayed inshore and wacked the blues and Spanish!!!  Greg was great to have aboard for two days and one hell of a fly caster…  Hope I can redeem my amberjack trip next summer!!!!
