8/27/07 Citation Flounder- Redfish in the shallows

Fished a half day with Mitch and his brother Dick Chaney. Mitch has a vacation house and just wanted to check outhte inshore fishery. These guys were both great anglers. The first stop produced only 2 small specks. We moved on to some redfish spots and Mitch caught this fish on the first cast. Next stop we broke two more off on the oysters. Then on our last spot we found it all. Dick caught a 5.25 pound flounder along with another 3.5 pounder (in 2 feet of water). As the tide went out we saw several BIG reds pushing water and crawling the banks. I poled up to them and I think we hooked 4 or 5 in less than 12" of water. It was true sight fishing- and was a blast!
