Had a few fellow members of the Cape Fear Fly Fishing Club aboard today. Mike Clune, Tony Ricca, and Dennis O'Connor and I made it full day event. Well needless to say were weren't fly fishing but going after grouper(actually we didn't even have a fly rod aboard).
Took a while to find them but the grouper were biting when we finally did find them. Ended up with 17 keepers(16 reds and one scamp) along with several throwbacks. Also we caught a couple of king mackerel (one really nice fish) and a surprise cobia. A peanut dolphin ended what turned out to be a great day!
